Easter is Coming

The truth of Christ is often overshadowed by our understanding of who He is and what He came to do. Our misconceptions and broken interpretations often lead to a candy coated, Santa-Jesus. He came for me. He did. He died for me. He did that too. But for what purpose and to what end?

When God laid out creation with mere words, He looked upon all of it and declared; “It is good.” Not just “It’s fine” or “It’s ok” or “Boy this is going to get messed up the minute humanity steps food on the planet.” It was good. And then it was broken. We broke it.

Christ came to redeem. He paid the price of our brokenness with His. His death brings us life. What is lost is found in His name. And though we mourn loss this week, Easter is coming.
