Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God!

When our family began fostering, one of my stipulations was that we have someone come a couple of times a month and clean the house. We can handle the little things, but having all the floors, windows, and bathrooms done is AMAZING! Every other Monday I walk into my house and my breath is gone and my heart sings praises. My floors are shining, all the little things are put away, there are no dishes, or toys laying around. It is the best feeling for a mom of…how many kids do we have again?
When king David showed up to the throne of God after his sin with Bathsheba, his heart was a mess! Dirt all over, sin had blackened his life and a it seemed like there was no hope…But GOD! He gave his life over to Him. He declared “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10) And God did it!
Things may look like a mess in your life right now. You may not see any hope, but I promise you that there is. Give your life over to the Lord today. He is in the cleaning business.
