Salvation Army

The Salvation Army Service Unit for Southern Miami County has been a part of the ministry of The Tipp City Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years. We host the largest service unit in the tri-state area. The funds that we distribute are based on the amount of money raised during the Christmas kettle drive each year. Those funds are sent to the Cincinnati regional office and are then allocated back to use on a monthly basis. We then redistribute those funds to those in need in our *local community.

We provide financial assistance for rent, utilities, prescription medications and other needs. All funding is done through a voucher system. We do not distribute cash funds to individuals.

In 2015 we also became the home for the Troy Salvation Army Branch.

If you or your organization would like to serve this Holiday Season by ringing the bell, please contact us at info@tcnaz.com. We begin on Black Friday and ring through Christmas Eve. We are seeking bell ringers at the Troy Kroger, Monday through Saturday from 9 AM – 9 PM and Sunday from 1 – 6 PM.

If you are in need of funding or have additional questions, please contact us at 937.667.3449.

We operate at the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene at 1221 W. Main Street, Tipp City, OH 45371, and are open on Tuesdays from 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM.

*Funding from our unit is for people residing in Tipp City, Troy and surrounding communities in Miami County (excluding Piqua zip codes).

We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion, how can God’s love be in that person? 1st John 3:16-17
